Secretely, the launch of the totally new 4th member of the Xcruising range, the Xc 38, was launched some 10 days before official launch date.
Last weekend, she went through her first sea trials with Lars and Niels Jeppesen, as well as members of the development and design team from X-Yachts.
Everything went as expected, and another true member of the very easily managed and comfortable Xcruising range has been born.
The Xcruising range is developed to offer the full package for X-Yachts customers, who want to focus on very comfortable cruising, with maximized tank and storage volumes - combined with optimized anchor facilities as well as a deck layout, which is focussed on maximum sailing comfort.
All this in a package which offers the thrilling sailing qualities, which have been X-Yachts trade mark since its beginning back in 1979.
Hull, deck in full sandwich for strength and insulation, steel keel girder enabling extreme rig loads as well as making the keel area immensely strong and rigid, hull recessed hull fittings, composite heavy lead keel and a rig, including hydraulic back stay tensioner and discontinued rod rigging are among the parameters ensuring these "famous" sailing qualities.
The Xc 38 had its official world debut at X-Yachts Inhouse Floating Boatshow this weekend, and will be on display at the following boat shows during the autumn:
